G-Shock MR-G MRGG2000HA-1
The MRG-G2000HA uses traditional colorings inspired by the aesthetic quality of murasaki-gane(deep violet metal) and suaka copper material used in Japanese craft traditions. Murasaki-gane is a metal alloy including gold, which adds to both its value and rarity, achieving a deep violet hue. This coloring on the watch case and band gives the watch a bold, regal look. The deep colors are achieved by a new application of AIP®(Arc Ion Plating),*2 a hardened coating to which a deep-layer hardening is applied for high abrasion-resistance.
The MRGG2000HA-1A timepiece also includes premium features such as three-way time sync, made possible via Bluetooth Connectivity and the G-SHOCK app, as well as G-SHOCK’s GPS Hybrid Wave Ceptor technology, which accurately measures time and location from anywhere on earth. The MRG2000HA-1A also features a sapphire crystal, titanium case and band with a special deep-layer hardening treatment – rendering it five times harder than regular titanium, and tough solar technology for self-charging capabilities.
The watch also comes equipped with standard G-SHOCK technology of shock resistance and 200M water resistance, as well as world time (in 39 cities + UTC), an LED super illuminator light, daily alarm, stopwatch, countdown timer, day/date display, and a full auto calendar – all in a 49.8mm case.
CLAD GUARD STRUCTURE
The crown/buttons and guard parts are integrated for improved shock resistance. αGEL®* is inserted into the crown to absorb shocks. The prominent crown reinforces the powerful timepiece impression. αGEL® (Alpha Gel) is a registered trademark of Taica Corporation.
A 3D hour index with phosphorescent inlays and multi-sided-cut hour and minute hands underscore the dial’s impression of depth.
“ARASHI TSUCHIME” HAMMERING TECHNIQUE
The traditional Japanese “textured hammer tone” technique is applied to the bezel and internal band pieces. Every craftsman creates a different expression by creating each eye individually with a special hammer and iron chisel.

A magnetic-resistant plate is mounted on the module. The plate prevents magnetic fields from interfering with proper movement of the hands in daily use, while maintaining the watch’s radio reception sensitivity.

AIP® (ARC ION PLATING) TREATMENT
AIP® treatment is applied as a coating to the surface of titanium. Besides enhancing the material’s wear resistance, it reproduces the metal color tones developed in traditional Japanese metalworking. * AIP® (arc ion plating) is a registered trademark of Kobe Steel, Ltd.
Heat-treatment of titanium material forms a hardened surface layer. This increases the strength of the material itself.
METAL PLATE & SERIAL NUMBER
“2018 LIMITED” is engraved on a metal plate, and a different serial number is stamped on the case back of each of the 350 watches sold worldwide.
DUAL DISK DISPLAY
Two independently driven disk hands are employed for the date and function displays. City codes are displayed in a small window at 3 o'clock.
SIX-MOTOR DRIVE INCLUDING TWO DUAL-COIL MOTORS
This system achieves nimble operation by driving the hands and disks independently. The small World Time hand and the city code disk hand are driven by separate dual coil motors, a system that both speeds up the display and enables unique hand movements in which the pace slows down or speeds up as appropriate.
