Omega Planet Ocean "Deep Black" 600m Master Chronometer (184.108.40.206.01.001)
In a first for Planet Ocean, a single block of black ceramic forms the case body of each watch. On the Black and 18K Sedna™ gold models, the ceramic cases and dials have been polished for a glossy effect. The blue and red versions are brushed for a matt effect that offers better visibility underwater. The unidirectional bezels are also made of black ceramic.
This 39.5 mm model features a sleek black ceramic case and bezel with a white enamel diving scale. The dial is also black ceramic dial with 18K white gold numerals, indexes and hands, as well as a date window at 3 o’clock.
Presented on a quilted black rubber strap, this timepiece includes the OMEGA Master Chronometer calibre 8800. This can be seen through the transparent caseback, which itself is enhanced by the NAIAD LOCK to keep all wording upright. To achieve Master Chronometer status, it has passed the 8 rigorous tests set by METAS (The Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology).
The term "deep black" is not a shallow boast. These are serious divers' watches, able to withstand the pressures of the ocean at 60 bar (600 m) and packed with crucial tech for exploring beneath the waves
